Too Much to Ignore
Their tears will never have the chance to fall
The pain of their past they’ll hope not to recall. For that one incision their life would be taken,
Those mothers don’t know it but, they’re sadly mistaken. To say misinformed would be incorrect,
For them to become a mother is a lot to expect?Murder is illegal, this crime is unfair.
With this many deaths you’d think someone would care.Morning sickness or the sickness of mourning?
I wish it would all stop with just one warning.Your life goes on as theirs has ceased,
I think they deserve 5 minutes of your time at least.Their life was sacred, their fingerprint unique,
Now you’ve ruined their chance to ever speak. Not only were they yours but, they were God’s too,
You’ve murdered a child, you know it’s true. You can face the facts or walk away,
But this inevitable truth is here to stay. The driest of tears and the most silent words,
Though deaf to your ears, to your heart they’re profoundly heard. This decimation of heart beats could easily be ended,
Surely this was never what God had intended.Virtue these days means nothing anymore,
This epidemic is too much to ignore?

Thinking of MeTonight as I meditated on the cross and Jesus' death, I saw a picture in my mind's eye of Jesus' head hanging down on the cross and on his forhead was written my name, "Michelle." I was on His mind when He died. You were on His mind when He died. And from that thought, this poem came.......
What were you thinking As you hung there on the tree?
What were you thinking As they stripped you of dignity?
What were you thinking As they mocked and cursed your name?
What were you thinking When to your rescue no one came?
What were you thinking As they scourged your back and sides?
What were you thinking With each tear that you cried?
What were you thinking As you bore the weight of sin?
What were you thinking As they shouted “Crucify him!”
What were you thinking As they pierced your hands and feet?
What were you thinking When your Father turned His cheek?
What were you thinking As the thorns went in your brow.
What were you thinking As the soldiers mocked and bowed?
What were you thinking As you watched your mother cry?
What were you thinking Of all the accusations and lies?
I know what were you thinking As you hung there on the tree.
I know what you were thinking You were thinking about me.
Hebrews 12:2 - .....who for the joy set before him enendured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound
That comes from ‘round your throne
The sound of the babes singing mercy and grace
For Mommies and Daddies to come home.
Their chains are gone
They’ve been set free
My God, My Savior has ransomed them
And like a flood - His mercy rains
Unending love - Amazing grace
Glory, glory, hallelujah
His mercy’s coming like a flood.
As we sang this song we wept. The second theme song of the journey had been born, as we traveled up river from here, when we sang this verse and tears would flow over and over again.
